Hello, stranger! *waves*
I just hit the big three-oh this 2012 and I have done nothing remarkable in my life. I have not volunteered for Red Cross or saved somebody’s life.I have not tried sky diving or bungee jumping, although I would like to try that someday.
My only claim to fame is chickening out when I was halfway through rappelling during a company team event.
My favorite poisons are vodka and chocolates and potato chips.
I occasionally indulge myself in milk tea.
I could spend hours in a bookstore and vintage things fascinate me.
My current work involves me sitting in front of a computer, updating, managing and keeping track of our company’s internal websites. Half the time, I am immersed in figuring out coding, attending online meetings with people who live on the other side of the globe, and collecting and sending/presenting data and reports related to the websites. The other half I spend gazing at the monitor in front of me, trying to understand what I should do. There are just times in your work life when you need to read and read and then read all over again just to be able to finally understand what you’re supposed to do. And when you finally understand? You realize it’s quite simple (so simple, in fact, that if the project was an animal it would’ve bitten you faster than you could say “I know!”) and then there goes your face-palm moment. HA!
My one and only pet is an 11 month-old cat who is a mixed breed of Chinchilla Persian and Australian Blue Mist. His name is Adam and he can see only with his right eye because he got into a fight when he was younger and it damaged his left eye. He used to be frisky and could hold a candle against the Energizer Bunny. Right now, however, he is pretty mellow and loves to cuddle and is very verbal when he wants attention. He thinks his mom is my younger sister, who spoils him rotten and baby talks him. I have tried several times to keep him in a diet but it never works. Now he’s a fat, mellow cat who takes a bath every other week. Credit for his bath goes to my mother, who also baby talks him. As for me, he looks at me as the hand that feeds him and that is as far as our relationship goes for him.
Horror stories fascinate me.
Scented candles delight me.
I would willingly splurge on books and food.
My weekends are spent hanging out with friends and my family.
The place I would love to visit the most is England.
I think that the job of the lead character (Mike Enslin) in Stephen King’s short story “1408” is kick ass and I would love to have his work.
I adore kids. I love long sleeping hours.
I was never a morning person.
When I dream, they are usually with colors.
I am most comfortable when I’m on the sidelines.
Halloween is my favorite holiday. I do not believe that 13 is an unlucky number but I would hate to see a cracked mirror or have a black cat cross my path.
And that is all ye need to know.
